Thin Hair

When your hair starts to thin or when it starts to fall out and balding sets in, it is important to look at the pattern in which your hair loss has started to occur. There are a variety of different types of hair loss, all of which have differing causes and differing treatments. Should you be experiencing unnatural hair loss or thinning of the hair, it is advisable to seek medical advice.

The most common type of hair loss experienced, is called androgenic alopecia. This is also called pattern baldness and as this is most frequently experienced by men, we mostly hear of male pattern baldness. This condition can also be experienced by women and lately more and more women are becoming prone to hair thinning. In women it is referred to as female pattern baldness.

Pattern baldness is often attributed to generic causes and so many do not realise that it is treatable and that the lost hair can be regrown. Hair regrowth is usually achieved through the use of a hair loss treatment. You are able to choose between natural products for hair loss such as Procerin or to a degree Provillus, or to drugs such as minoxidal or Rogaine which contains finasteride, to mention just a few.

My personal choice is to use the natural products for hair thinning, as these products have no known side effects. Known side effects for other drug treatments for hair loss include loss of libido and possible erectile dysfunction.

Thinning hair is no joke and as soon as you notice that your hair is thinning, it is advisable to seek medical advice and to embark on a treatment to stop and reverse the hair loss process.
